Oddschecker is shutting down its paid subscription tier and switching the entire OC+ tools package to free access from 27 October 2026, according to a notice sent to subscribers and reported by SBC News.

The OC+ suite has included betting tools, market insights and tipping content alongside odds comparison grids with price history, market tracking and AI-driven analysis. Under the change, none of this will sit behind a paywall any longer, with the full feature set opening up across browsers and devices.

Subscribers have also had access to premium tipster content from figures including Andy Holding, Ginger Joe and Liam Firkin. That tipping material is set to become freely available from 8am on 27 October, the notice confirms.

Oddschecker has run the subscription model since 2024, when it introduced paid tiers as part of a commercial push to boost audience retention on behalf of its bookmaker partners.

The paid packages carried extras beyond the core tools, including reduced advertising, a racehorse share and a discount on Racing TV. SBC News notes that the latest notice does not say whether these perks will carry over once the paywall is removed.

Oddschecker's explanation for the move was limited to a statement that the change would make its tools more accessible to users. No further detail was given on the commercial reasoning behind dropping subscription charges altogether.

Oddschecker sits under FairPlay Sports Media (FPSM), the network that also includes WhoScored, Confido Network and SuperScommesse. FPSM was formed after Bruin Capital, a US-based sports and entertainment investment fund, acquired Oddschecker from Flutter Entertainment in 2024 in a deal reported to be worth £155m.

The end of the subscription service marks a reversal of the paywall strategy FPSM had pursued since taking ownership, returning Oddschecker's full tool set to the free, advertising-supported model that underpinned the brand before 2024.
