Events organiser SBC has struck a multi-year agreement with Vergunde Nederlandse Online Kansspelaanbieders (VNLOK), the body representing licensed Dutch online gambling operators, tying the association into the launch of SBC Summit Europe at RAI Amsterdam from 19 to 21 April 2027.

The tie-up gives VNLOK's membership a direct route into an event being staged in their home city, with senior figures from licensed Dutch operators set to take part in sessions on taxation, player protection, advertising limits, channelisation and the fight against illegal gambling supply.

SBC frames the arrangement as a way of feeding Dutch regulatory experience into a wider European conversation, arguing that issues facing operators in the Netherlands mirror those in other regulated markets across the continent.

VNLOK will also contribute directly to SBC Media's ongoing coverage of the Dutch sector, offering first-hand input on licensing, taxation and commercial sustainability for an international audience.

SBC founder and chief executive Rasmus Sojmark said the company wants Amsterdam to become the annual meeting point for Europe's regulated gaming industry, bringing together licensed operators, regulators, policymakers and trade associations.

He added: "The Netherlands is an important regulated market, and through our partnership with VNLOK, we want to ensure Dutch operators are strongly represented, and their perspectives contribute to wider European discussions on regulation, player protection and market sustainability."

VNLOK chairman Björn Fuchs said the Dutch licensed market has experience worth sharing as well as lessons to draw from elsewhere, noting that "Many of the questions we deal with, from player protection to tackling illegal supply, are the same ones other markets are working through."

The partnership adds to SBC's existing relationships with the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) and the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL), both of which support the company's ambitions for the Amsterdam event to serve as a central forum for Europe's licensed industry.

SBC Summit Europe is projected to draw more than 8,000 attendees, including upwards of 3,000 licensed operator representatives, alongside 250 exhibitors and sponsors and 250 industry speakers, according to SBC.

The programme opens with an invitation-only SBC Leaders Regulatory Forum on 19 April, before two days of exhibition built around four conference stages, among them a dedicated European Regulation Conference.

Three specialist forums covering lottery innovation, player protection and sports integrity will run alongside the main programme, with networking sessions aimed at connecting operators, regulators and policymakers from across the continent.

Tickets for the event have not yet gone on sale, though SBC said registrations of interest and enquiries about exhibition and sponsorship slots are already being taken through its sales team.
