OpenBet completes platform migration for Swiss lottery operator

OpenBet has completed a full platform migration for Loterie Romande, the state lottery serving Switzerland's six French-speaking cantons, according to SBC News.

The move shifts Loterie Romande's existing omnichannel sportsbook product entirely onto OpenBet's own technology, marking a concrete step in OpenBet's strategy of positioning itself as the platform of choice for state lottery operators.

That strategy dates back to March 2025, when OpenBet entered a new corporate chapter following a management buyout that ended its period of ownership under Endeavor Group Holdings, the company later rebranded as WWE Holdings.

The agreement with Loterie Romande itself was signed in March 2026, a year after the buyout, and has now reached completion with the migration of the operator's JouezSport sportsbook.

Nikos Konstakis, President at OpenBet, said the company was "delighted to continue our track record of delivering world-class technology and peerless scale to WLA members around the world," adding that OpenBet was "excited to see how this partnership continues to evolve, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with the OpenBet team."

Loterie Romande is a member of the World Lottery Association, the global body OpenBet has identified as a key source of future partnerships as it seeks wider adoption among state-run lottery operators.

The migrated JouezSport product spans online, self-service and over-the-counter betting channels, operating across 2,350 point-of-sale retail locations in the French-speaking cantons.

OpenBet's offering to Loterie Romande includes managed trading services, AI-enhanced odds and risk management tools, and a trading system platform, with Jean-Luc Moner-Banet, Chief Executive Officer of Loterie Romande, welcoming the continuation of the partnership between the two organisations.
