Oddin.gg launches eHockey product timed to NHL season
The Prague-based betting content supplier has introduced a round-the-clock simulated ice hockey product, with similar football and basketball formats to follow.

Oddin.gg has launched eHockey, a studio-produced head-to-head ice hockey betting product timed to coincide with the start of the National Hockey League season.
The Prague-based betting content firm says the product delivers around 1,600 matches a month, played by real people in a studio rather than drawn from the NHL calendar itself.
As with Oddin.gg's other fast-betting formats, the matches are designed to be short and frequent, with odds and risk management handled by the company's in-house trading team.
Because the schedule does not depend on any league's fixture list, Oddin.gg says eHockey can offer an ice hockey betting experience to audiences outside the NHL's own time zone.
Marek Suchar, co-founder and managing director of Oddin.gg, said operators have no shortage of content during marquee fixtures such as a Champions League night, but face a gap at other times.
"They're short of it on a Monday afternoon, and that's where a sportsbook's engagement numbers are decided," Suchar said, adding that the aim is to build a catalogue that makes those hours worth opening the app for.
Oddin.gg plans to apply the same studio-based, round-the-clock format to American football and basketball products, branded eFootball and eBasketball respectively.
Pete Camden, director of fast betting content at Oddin.gg, pointed to the growth of the company's existing eTouchdown product as evidence of demand beyond traditional seasons.
Camden said eTouchdown handle grew sixteenfold between April and August, before a single regular-season NFL snap had been played, which the company took as a sign that football betting interest does not disappear in the off-season.
He said eHockey is built on the same reasoning: a format that needs no explanation to bettors, available at any hour.
Esports betting remains Oddin.gg's core business, and the company recently published the second edition of its Esports Betting Review, examining betting trends across titles including Counter Strike 2, Dota 2 and League of Legends.
The eHockey launch and the planned football and basketball equivalents mark an expansion by Oddin.gg into fast-betting content modelled on traditional sports rather than competitive gaming, according to SBC News.
