Betty Canada Posts 23% Revenue Rise as Alberta Market Opens
Betty Canada's chief executive says the operator took the top slots market share spot in Alberta within months of the province's iGaming launch.

Betty Canada's net revenue across Ontario and Alberta rose 23% quarter-on-quarter to US$111m in the three months to September 30, 2026, according to a LinkedIn update from chief executive Chavdar Dimitrov reported by Casino.org News.
Ontario generated approximately $101m of that total, up $11m from the second quarter, while Alberta, which launched its regulated iGaming market on July 13, contributed nearly $10m in its debut quarter.
Dimitrov said preliminary figures from gaming providers indicate Betty Canada has taken the leading slots market share position in Alberta since entering the province.
The operator reported more than 214,000 active players across both provinces in September, a 28% rise from June.
In Ontario, advertising spend was cut by 12% to $15m compared with the prior quarter, yet new depositors from organic acquisition grew 19% and total new depositors rose 6% to 56,702.
Net revenue per active player in Ontario reached annual highs of $193 in July and $195 in August, before easing back to $183 in September.
Over the same quarter, Alberta signed up 42,831 new depositors, of whom more than 10,000 had registered through pre-launch marketing, against advertising spend of $14.1m for the July-to-September period.
Net revenue per active player in the province rose from $126 in August, its first full month of trading, to $149 in September.
Betty Canada said retained players in Alberta grew from 48% of its base in August to 62% in September, still below the 90% retention rate recorded in Ontario, which it described as evidence of a maturing player base.
Alberta accounted for 12% of the company's total revenue in September, a share it expects to rise to 27% by December 2027.
The operator's first in-house title, Vault Wreckers, launched in Ontario on August 31 and in Alberta on September 17, drawing 50,841 active players in its first week and generating 15.6 million rounds, averaging 307 rounds per player.
Betty Canada said this made it the strongest opening seven-day round count of any of its new game releases in Ontario during 2026.
Bingo delivered its best quarter since launch, with net gaming revenue of $911,000, up 78% on the second quarter and including a record $394,000 in September alone.
Combined with its Mini Slots product, the bingo segment produced $1.3m in quarterly net gaming revenue, with $581,000 of that recorded in September.
September's bingo player count reached 71,000, equal to 39% of all monthly active players Betty recorded in Ontario, and the company said 77% of those bingo players now also play Mini Slots.
Its weekly Saturday bingo sessions attract up to 7,000 participants, which Betty Canada said is helping support cross-product retention as it continues to build out its Alberta operation alongside its established Ontario business.
