BETBY unveils SlotBets hybrid product at SBC Summit Lisbon
Malta-based sports betting technology supplier BETBY has launched SlotBets, a product blending slot mechanics with live sports data, aimed at younger bettors.

BETBY has introduced a new product called SlotBets, designed to sit between traditional sports betting and slot-style iGaming, according to SBC News.
The Malta-headquartered sports betting technology company revealed the product at the SBC Summit in Lisbon on 1 October, presenting it to industry media at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa.
SlotBets uses slot-game mechanics but ties its reels to real-time sporting events, producing 15-second betting rounds. BETBY has set a return to player ratio of between 93% and 94% for the product.
Chris Nikolopoulos, BETBY's Chief Commercial Officer, told journalists that the game has been built with speed as a priority, describing it as sitting between a slot, sports betting and the live sports experience.
Nikolopoulos said BETBY views its software as competing not only with rival sportsbooks but with other instant-play products across the wider gambling market. He said the company aims to produce offerings that are fast, visual and entertaining, combining casino-style user experience with sports action.
He added that sport remains central to BETBY's approach, stating that the company wanted a product driven by sporting dynamics rather than a conventional slot format.
The first version of SlotBets is themed around basketball. The timing of the launch coincided with the SBC Summit's keynote session, which featured NBA legend Michael Jordan alongside the chief executives of DraftKings and Sportradar earlier in the week, according to SBC News.
BETBY confirmed that further sports will be added to the SlotBets range, though it has not disclosed which ones. Given the product's 15-second round format, any additions are likely to focus on fast-moving sports such as football.
Nikolopoulos said trials conducted over recent months had produced encouraging results, noting that basketball is currently the only live version of the game. He said BETBY holds a number of prototypes that will be rolled out across other sports in the coming months.
